COMMUNITY MEDICINE FELLOWSHIP
Our program offers a one year Community Medicine fellowship. This fellowship allows motivated residents to pursue their passion and individual interests in the variety of settings and diverse underserved communities in San Diego. Fellows have the opportunity to work at several community clinic locations and complete an outreach project in the community. Past projects have included cancer outreach in women, HIV care, migrant worker care, asylum seeker care, various health fairs, and teaching at local schools. The fellow attends regular regional meetings and educational sessions as well as several conferences and workshops. The fellow also teaches residents and medical students in our Family Medicine Clinic and the community clinic locations.
